We thought it might be quite useful for us to provide you with the ‘Note’ (at the weblink set out below) on the recent Supreme Court unanimous decision – confirming that ‘Uber’ drivers are ‘workers – and thus (effectively) within the remit of U.K. employment law.
It is striking how many ‘new economy’ business ventures are (realistically) likely to need to recognise that this ruling is going to impact upon the ‘gig economy’ business model many of them envisage (or currently) operate.
